In WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance submenu and click on Widgets.
After clicking on Widgets , Widget page will open and here you can Add widgets in various Sections & Pages of the Theme. Please follow this GIF on how to Add Widgets in your Theme :
In WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance submenu and click on Customize.
After clicking on customize the theme Customizer page will appear .
Here You have to follow this Path : Go to Customize -> Widgets
Now after reaching here Click on Footer 1 then you will reach to New page and you can add Widgets from here by Clicking on Add a Widget .
Then click on Publish.
